Many activities and events been organized and supported by the society. The Society has conducted numbers of activities in the field of corrosion protection since its formation its major achievements is four corrosion conferences and the First Libyan Corrosion Exhibition 2003.

The Libyan Corrosion Society is a technical society that was created to advance the science of corrosion in Libya and it's objectives have been defined in accordance with the requirements of the huge accomplishments over 36 years of achievements.
The conference of those concerned with corrosion societies held in the city of Benghazi on 8 /8 /20002
The second conference of those concerned with the corrosion phenomenon held on 8-9 / 8/2001 in the town of the Raslanouf .
The third conference held in the town of houn at Jurfra University on 11-12 / 8 /2002
The fourth conference held in the city of Tripoli on 12-13 /10/2003 and was followed by an international exhibition dealing with matters related to corrosion sciences , where exhibits from a number of countries displayed . A number of well known scientist belonging to various countries were invited to the Exhibition and more than 10 international companies took part and displayed their products .
A workshop was setup and supported in 2001 by (CABSIS ) of England and supervised by the international center for development and research of Malta .
Supervision of a discussion group in which products of Line-x of Middle East , concerned with protective systems were Evaluated by companies based in Great Jamahiriya .
Lectures were given on behalf of certain bodies , aimed at Identifying the damage caused by corrosion in industry .
The L.C.S. holds periodical meeting of its general assembly .
The society head quarters daily receives numerous members and those concerned with corrosion phenomenon .
The L.C.S. also held specialist courses in favor of some institutions and public companies such the Great Man Made River Authority (GMRA) , Arabian Gulf Oil Company ( AGOCO ), Al Jwof Company for oil Technology and the general company for Fabrics .
The L.C.S. was registered with International council for corrosion the (I.C.C.) During the convention of its 14th council held in south Africa.
An Encyclopedia of the society’s issues Entitled Basis principles of corrosion was published by Dr. Abdalah Al Megairhi .
Issuing the training plan for the years 2001-2002 , 2002-2003 , 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 .

Holding a scientific seminar during the holy Month of the Ramadan 2001 dealing with pipes for the sewage works of the Benghazi city, Pipes in use and their projected substitutions
The L.C.S. Also held a number of seminars concerning a number of topics where distinguished local and international specialists gave lectures at the rate of one lecture per four months .
A scientific seminar on paint technology of the American paint producer line-x held in the city of Benghazi on 8 /1 /2001 sponsored by Line-x group .
A seminar on drinking water, domestic sewage works and inter structure of Benghazi held on 2 /12 /2001 and sponsored by the Piping General Company.
A scientific seminar on the application of chemical obstructers and their role in reducing corrosion phenomenon in Benghazi’s Industrial facilities held on 23/12/2002 sponsored by the L.C.S, where Dr. Mohammed Irhouma specialist expert at Al Jwof company for oil technologies gave a lecture .
A scientific seminar on Corrosion in concrete slabs and means of combating it held in Benghazi on 2 /6 /2003 at the headquarters of the Japanese firm Marbini where lectures by Dr. Faraj Gourman and Eng. Khalifa Nawaa were given .
A seminar on corrosion in concrete facilities and ways of combating it, where lectures were given by Dr. Faraj Gourman and Eng. Khalifa Nawaa. The seminar was held in Tripoli on15 /7 / 2003 .
A scientific seminar on the probing according to the latest international issues on specifications I.S.O 9001 of the year 2000, held in Benghazi on 8/4/2003 sponsored by condril a Sweden company, Where Eng. Omran Buaza of The British standardization Institute B.S.I. Gave a lecture.
The same seminar was also held in Tripoli on 14/4/2003 . (As per above) .
A scientific seminar on corrosion in concrete installations and means of combating it held in Benghazi on 8 / 2/ 2004 sponsored by the L.C.S. where a lecture was given by visiting professor Henry sigana head of the corrosion department and the protection of material at the engineering college of Rome University .
A scientific seminar on corrosion obstructers sponsored by al fadheel Authority for implementation, operation and maintenance where a lecture given by Dr. Steward Moody from Champion Technologies gave a lecture Dr. Moody Also held the post of former head of the British Branch of the American corrosion society .
A scientific seminar on corrosion and control of corrosion by use of covers held on 15 /5/2005 where a lecture was given by Dr. David scantelbury of the center for research and studies in the science of corrosion at Manchester university of England
