The
seventh biennial conference and exhibition The 7th
Libyancorr (The 7th Libyan Corrosion Conference and
Exhibition in Libya) will take place on 09 – 11
November, 2009 in Benghazi (Libya). This scientific event is
organized by the Libyan Corrosion Society with cooperation
of NACE Libya section and sponsored by numerous key
stakeholders from oil industry.
Following the success of
previous conferences, The 7th Libyancorr will be an
open forum for the presentation and discussion of recent
advances in technology and scientific topics relevant to
corrosion and corrosion prevention in different industries.
The 7th Libyancorr is a
three-day gathering, open to all interested participants and
will provide opportunities for academics and industrialists
to present their successful technological endeavors in a
friendly atmosphere. The programme will include keynote
speaker, invited speakers, contributed plenary
presentations, oral presentations and poster presentations.
Authors wishing to present a
contribution are asked to submit a 1-page abstract according
to the Abstract Preparation Instructions by 15 May 2009.
Electronic submission of abstracts is important.

Research papers and case studies are invited on current
techniques and new developments under each topic.
Experiences applicable to industrial sectors critical in the
North Africa and Middle East, such as oil production, gas
production and processing, refining and petrochemicals,
marine transportation, desalination, power generation,
concrete degradation, storage of oil, gas and water, and
other industries such as iron, steel and cement. |

Poster Papers |
|
| |
Poster papers will be
accepted, and there is a prize for the best student poster
paper.
In association with the
convention of the Seventh Libyan Corrosion Conference and
Exhibition, the Libyan Corrosion society has the pleasure to
announce - for the second time - the introduction of a
poster for undergraduates and postgraduates. It includes
current graduation and future projects related to corrosion
and protection techniques. This initiative came as a move to
encourage and motivate creativity among those concerned with
this field, and to further strengthen the ties between
universities and industrial companies. For more details,

The abstract should be

How to prepare the abstract of the Paper |
|
| |
The abstract must be prepared
on a sheet of A4 size (297x210 mm) with all margins equal to
25 mm. The single spaced text should be typed in Times New Roman
font with use of the Microsoft Word editor (any version).
Start at the top of the page with the title of your
contribution (font size 14 pt. Times New Roman, bold, single
spaced between two lines, centralized). Skip two lines below
the title and type the authors’ name(s) in the following
order: initial(s), surname (font size 12 pt., centralized).
Underline the name of the author presenting the paper. On a
next line, enter the affiliation of each author with full
postal address, and e-mail connections are desirable (12
pt., centralized).
Then skip two lines and begin your abstract text (font size
12 pt. Times New Roman, justified). The abstract
should be less than 500 words. The commercialization is not
accepted. |
